Elizabeth Taylor and Flawless Beauty
The death of Elizabeth Taylor has got me thinking about natural beauty in Elizabeth Taylor‘s Time vs. Our Time.
Beauty in the Age of Elizabeth Taylor was flawless. Not a hair out-of-place, nose always powdered and never a run in your stockings. Beauty was also graceful back in the 40’s as well. Always cross your legs at the ankles, never slurp your soup, and always walk with poise and elegance. In the age of Elizabeth Taylor…beauty was an art but also at the same time so natural. You never saw an actress in a 40s film with chunky mascara, teased hair and bad lipstick. Beauty then just looked so effortless compared to today’s interpretation of beauty.
Today’s beauty seems like a train wreck compared to the beauty back in the time of Elizabeth Taylor.
In today’s society, beauty in only skin deep. Forget about flawless beauty…if your nail polish isn’t black and chipped and your face doesn’t look like you’re a crack whore….you aren’t attractive! Forget the poise and etiquette..we have girls going commando getting out of cars, flashing everything to everyone! And definitely forget about natural beauty…. more make up, more costume, more fake equals more beauty in today’s society.
Beauty in Elizabeth Taylor‘s time vs. Our Time is Black and White. But when we lose “The Last Movie Star” the beauty of her time doesn’t seem so far away. But with every second, minute, day, week, month, and year that goes by, we will slowly lose the Beauty from Elizabeth Taylor’s time and we will be consumed with the fake, dirty, cheap beauty of today’s age…if we forget that time…which we shouldn’t.
Rest in Peace Elizabeth Taylor
